"Receiving a nomination for Woman of the Year is both humbling and flattering. To me, it represents the impact of the people and mission I’m fortunate to work alongside every day for the last 14 years, who play a large part in making me the woman I am today. My goal has always been to serve my community with intention, build strong relationships, and help create opportunities that make a meaningful difference, especially for the children and families connected to the Cavett Kids Foundation. This nomination feels less like a personal achievement and more like recognition of the collective work happening at the Cavett Kids Foundation, which I am just lucky enough to be trusted with leading. To be a long-standing Executive Director of the organization is something I highly value. In the nonprofit sector, men mostly hold the leadership seats, while the rest of the workforce is made up of women. I love representing and hopefully inspiring other young females to lead fearlessly."
